Broadwaters
Year 3 children visited a place called Broadwaters as aprt of a cultral diversity project. The children stayed at the site for two nights with Hillstone school. The children took part in many activities. On day one activities such as rock climbing, crate stacking, bomb disposal, stompers, obstacle course and designing a cultral mask took place. The children prepared a lovely dinner too of homemade pizza, jacket potatoes, beans and sald. They ended the night with homemade cookies, hot chocolate and songs around the camp fire. Day two involved African and Samba drumming and a mix of cultral dances including Kathok, Aboriginal, carnival and Cossack. In addition to these workshops we created shoulder dresses to wear with our masks for our grand finale performance on the evening. Children also cooked up a cultral feast of spaghetti bolognese, sweet and sour quorn (chicken) and rice with nachos. The children had a fabulous time and met lots of new people.
