During the week 23 February - 27 February we had a Food for Life and
a science week. We were involved in lots of different and exciting
activities. We were very lucky in having lots of visitors during this week.
Garden Organics came in to plant with us and our parents. Our local
secondary school chef came in to cook stir fry with Year 4. Bordesley
Green Children's Centre worked with Nursery children and parents to
create healthy picnic boxes. All the children were very lucky in receiving
a lunch box and water bottle to take home.
The activities included:
Pizza making
Planting potatoes, onions and window sill herb boxes
Making soup
Making fruit kebabs and smoothies
Trips to the local food shops and our school allotment
Tasting a variety of exotic fruit
Making pasta salad
